We had the first rain of this spring, in the arid desert of Southern California. Its more like a monsoon gush than a delicate shower. Ali loved to watch it splash onto the patio and was worried all the time that it is going take our potted plants away.
He was even diagnosing the clouds for their contents. His knowledge from one of the cartoons
He made me pick between storm clouds, rain clouds and happy clouds. Even when I chose the last type he would not agree saying “I think they are storm clouds, the rain looks angry!”.
We took him to the park today. He is recuperating; the fever is still ebbing and he has a hoarse cough and a congested nose. Vaseem was feeling good after the walk.
They are both sleeping now - I can vouch for it.
For I am hearing one silence and a one big snore!
We bostonians are soaking up the sun last couple of days after a loooong winter. People are having fun in their spaghetti straps, walking, jogging, taking their DOGS for walks …..We have had a very busy weekend shopping mostly and yesterday some friends came over, so I spent all day cooking four different chicken dishes ….shaami kebabs, roghanjosh, chicken balls and off course the very famous “chicken soup”….the whole effect / theme was “chickenish” with the exception of home made paneer.
Later in the evening we took them around and stopped at “navy yard” which is very close to the ocean….Nadia had a blast playing her “guessing game”… and wanted to eat “cold stone creamery ” icecream ..thier coffee flavour is heavenly….I wonder if you have it in L.A…..
Today is rest day ….otherwise my aching bones will “chicken out”
